Fieldstone Land Company

A Minnesota Land Company, Built on Minnesota Ground

We buy, improve, and sell land throughout Central and Northern Minnesota, and we take the responsibility that comes with it seriously.

Who We Are

We're Not an Investment Firm. We're a Land Company.

Fieldstone Land Company buys land in the part of the country we know best. Not sight-unseen, not from a database, and not from an office three states away. We work in the lake country, the timber, and the farm ground of Central and Northern Minnesota, and most of the properties we purchase are within a few hours’ drive of where we live.

That matters more than it might sound. Rural land doesn’t price itself the way houses do. Two adjoining forty-acre parcels can be worth very different amounts depending on road access, water, timber quality, soil type, wetland acreage, and what the township will allow. Understanding those differences takes time on the ground, not a valuation model. We’ve built this company around that understanding, and around the belief that landowners deserve a straight answer and a fair number the first time they ask.

Our Values

How We Do Business

Honest Numbers

We'd rather lose a deal than win one by being vague. Our offers come with reasoning attached, and if we can't make a competitive offer on your property, we'll tell you that directly instead of wasting your time.

Respect for the Land

Land in this state has a long memory. When we improve or divide a property, we think about drainage, access, tree cover, and what the ground will look like in twenty years, not just what sells fastest.

Respect for Landowners

Many of the properties we buy have been in a family for decades. Selling is often tied up with an estate, a move, or a hard decision. We try to make that part easier, not harder.

Long-Term Relationships

We're not passing through. We work in these counties year after year, and our reputation with landowners, neighbors, townships, and title companies is the only real asset we have.

Our Expertise

The Kinds of Property We Understand

Rural land comes in a lot of forms, and each one carries its own set of questions. Here’s where our experience runs deepest:

Hunting Land

We understand what makes a property hunt well: cover, edge, water, food sources, neighboring pressure, and access that doesn’t blow out a stand every time you walk in. That knowledge shows up in how we value hunting ground.

Recreational Property

Cabin sites, trail access, riverfront, and four-season getaway ground. We know what recreational buyers in this state actually look for.

Agricultural Acreage

Tillable acres, pasture, CRP contracts, drainage, and rental arrangements. We can work around a lease or a growing season when that’s what a seller needs.

Lake and Waterfront Property

Frontage quality, water depth, shoreline classification, septic feasibility, and setback rules vary lake to lake and county to county. We do this research before we make an offer, not after.

Development and Subdivision Opportunities

This is a core part of what we do. Larger tracts often carry more value than a single buyer can absorb. When we can thoughtfully divide a property into smaller buildable parcels, it unlocks that value and puts land ownership within reach for more Minnesota families.
